The Spinners Arms was situated at 110 George Street. It was built sometime around 1840 along with most of George Street. It closed in 1974 when the whole of George Street was being cleared for road improvements including the M67. The Spinners Arms was demolished before 1976 and the site of the former pub is now occupied by the M67 close to the bus station.
