Foresters Arms (Broadbottom, HYDE)

Foresters Refuge (centre) c.1920.

The Foresters Arms was situated on Lower Market Street just past the Cheshire Cheese. It seems to have opened sometime around 1851 and known locally as the Foresters Refuge (the beerhouse became the meeting place for the Friendly Society of Foresters). The Foresters Arms closed around 1930 and was demolished in the 1960s. The site occupied by the former Foresters Arms is now a garden.
