The Church Inn had been a beerhouse dating to before 1872. It was located on the corner of Sandhill Street and Sheffield Road (previously Railway Brow). I have no information as yet but it closed sometime around 1915. The building remained until the area was cleared in the late 50s. The site is now occupied by the yard of a garage.
