Hare and Hounds (Mottram, HYDE)

The Hare and Hounds c.1900.

The Hare and Hounds was situated at the bottom of Church Brow at the junction with Broadbottom Road. Its address was given as 1/2 Church Brow. I'm uncertain as to when it built but it was originally two cottages which were knocked into one and was in operation as an inn by 1821. It closed between 1910 and 1930 and converted back into cottages which are still there.
