An inn by the name of the Church existed at Warhill Farm just off Church Brow in Mottram. Named after the nearby St Michaels Church its dates of existance are a bit of a mystery. There's been a church here since at least 1225. The Church Inn was in operation sometime during the 19th century. Today it is a private residence.
