The former Nags Head in 2011. |
The Nags Head was opened as a beerhouse in 1859. It stood on the corner of Milk Street and Water Street opposite what is now ADSA (current address 31 Water Street). The Nags Head closed in 1906 after police objected to the licence. Since closure the premises has been a variety of commercial ventures. Note: Only the Water Street side of the building is original. The Milk Street side (red brick) is from a 2007 rebuild.
