The Commercial Inn was situated at what is now 53 Market Street in Broadbottom. It opened in th 1850s and its first innkeeper was a John Booth who owned shops at 43 and 45 Market Street. It was purchased in 1900 by Robinsons Brewery but closed in 1910 when police objected to the licence on the grounds that there were sufficient licenced premises in the area.
