The former Bees Wing beerhouse is situated at 88 Lane Head Road. It had been a beerhouse from 1839 until 1872. Back then it's address would have been Souther Causeway. It is now a private residence.
my grand parents used to live here for a great number of years and my dad was born there with two brothers and a sister .then it was a two bedroom property small kitchen 10ft by 6ft, I remember in the 6o's the snow use to drift off wharfes field opposite up to the bedroom windows and we had to dig our selves out as did other people on the road not like today them were the days
I live in the above property and would like to know more about it. We have experienced the snow drifting and had to dig out . Could you tell me where the fireplace was and do you have any photos please.
